Track 1: Cancer Cell Biology & Genetics
Cancer is caused when cells within the body accumulate genetic mutations and start to grow in an uncontrolled manner. Understanding how cancer develops and progresses, including how gene mutations drive the growth and spread of cancer cells, and how tumours interact with their surrounding environment, is vital for the discovery of new targeted cancer treatments.
Track 2: Cancer & Stem Cell Therapy
Stem-cell therapy is the use of stem cells to treat or prevent a disease or condition. Stem Cells and Tumours cancer cells also have the characteristic which is also associated with normal stems cells. Stem Cell Therapy is using to prevent the disease. Stems cells transplant is used to treatment of cancer like leukaemia, multiple myeloma & lymphoma. Cord Blood Stem and Cancer cord blood contains haematopoietic (blood) stem cell. They have long been used in stem cell treatments for leukaemia, blood and bone marrow disorders when chemotherapy is used.

A cancer biomarker refers to a substance or process that is indicative of the presence of cancer in the body. A biomarker may be a molecule secreted by a tumour or a specific response of the body to the presence of cancer. Genetic, epigenetic, proteomic, glycomic, and imaging biomarkers can be used for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and epidemiology. While some cancer biomarkers can be used to predict how aggressively your cancer will grow, and are therefore useful for assessing your prognosis, the most promising use of biomarkers today is to identify which therapies a patient’s cancer may or may not respond to.
Track 4: Cancer Nanotechnology
The traditional use of nanotechnology in cancer therapeutics has been to improve the pharmacokinetics and reduce the systemic toxicities of chemotherapies through the selective targeting and delivery of these anticancer drugs to tumor tissues.
Track 5: Cancer Pharmacology
Cancer pharmacology plays a key role in drug development. In both the laboratory and the clinic, cancer pharmacology has had to adapt to the changing face of drug development by establishing experimental models and target orientated approaches. It also focuses on developing experimental approaches to the clinical treatment of cancer through research that bridges the fields of molecular carcinogenesis, biochemical pharmacology, radiation biology, and clinical pharmacology. It generally involves the pharmacological and oncological aspects of drugs at both.
Track 6: Cancer Epidemiology
Cancer Epidemiology includes the study of the factors affecting cancer, to infer possible trends and causes. The study of cancer epidemiology uses epidemiological methods to find the cause of cancer and to identify and develop improved treatments. It can be used to identify events that increase or decrease cancer incidence in specific populations. The studies related to population-based research on cancer etiology, prevention, surveillance and survivorship, analytical, and molecular epidemiology, survivorship studies, risk factors, as well as the role of behavioral factors in cancer etiology and prevention are also included.
Track 7: Oncology Nursing and Care
Oncology Nursing is a field involving practice encompasses the roles of direct caregiver, educator, consultant, administrator, and researcher. Oncology and cancer nursing extends to all care delivery settings where clients experiencing or at risk for developing cancer receive health care, education, and counselling for cancer prevention, screening and detection. It also involves appropriate screenings and other preventative practices, symptom management, care to retain as much normal functioning as possible, and supportive measures upon end of life.
Track 8: Cancer Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is a type of cancer treatment that uses one or more anti-cancer drugs as part of a standardized chemotherapy regimen. Chemotherapy may be given with a curative intent, or it may aim to prolong life or to reduce symptoms.
Track 9: Cancer Metastasis
The spread of cancer from one part of the body to another part or to lymph nodes, which are not directly connected to each other is called cancer metastasis. Cancer is considered as a deadly disease mainly because of its ability to spread in the body. This metastasis takes place through the blood stream or the lymph system. The most common metastasis parts of the body are the lungs, bones, liver and brain. The metastatic cancer cells does not resemble the feature of the cells where it was found but it resembles the primary cancer cells i.e. it was considered as a next stage of the primary cancer cells. All metastatic cancers are considered as advanced cancers. The cancer survival and treatment is influenced by whether the cancer cells are localized or spreads to other parts. When the cancer starts to spread it is very difficult to control. Even if the treatment is continued, it will be only palliative care. The pain killing will be mostly by Anti-cancer drugs i.e. chemotherapy. Cancer Management is a multidisciplinary approach that deals with the various type of cancer complications and its preventive measures. Track 10: Cancer Biopsy
A biopsy is a medical examination usually done by a surgeon, an interventional radiologist, or an interventional cardiologist concerning extraction of sample cells or tissues for scrutiny to determine the existence of a disease state. Mainly the biopsy is of two categories, the excisional biopsy in which the affected tissues or cells are removed entirely and the incisional biopsy in which some sample is extracted from the affected region for diagnosis. When cancer is suspected, the first attempt will be excisional biopsy if it doesn’t work they will go for incisional biopsy to determine whether the cancer is benign or malignant. Sometimes in biopsy if the area of suspicion is not found, X- rays or ultrasound can be used to trace the area it is known as ultra sound guided biopsy or stereotactic guided biopsy. The safest mode of diagnosis and a minor surgical procedure is called fine needle aspiration. A noninvasive method of diagnosing cancer is liquid biopsy. Cancer pathogenesis is considered as a most important procedure after biopsy. Oncology - Clinical Trials, in which the biopsy is considered as an important technique. Cancer vaccines generally either treats existing cancer or prevents development of a cancer. Cancer treatment vaccines are made up of cancer cells, parts of cells, or pure antigens. Sometimes a patient’s own immune cells are removed and exposed to these substances in the lab to create the vaccines.
Track 12: Cancer Therapy & Treatments
Cancer can be treated by different processes. The choice of therapy depends upon the location and grade of the tumour and the stage of the disease, as well as the general state of the patient). Many experimental cancer treatments are also under development. Some people with cancer will have only one treatment. But most people have a combination of treatments, such as surgery with chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. You may also have immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or hormone therapy.
Track 13: Tumor Virology, Immunology & Cellular Pathology
Tumor virology deals with the specific virus infections and cancer, oncogenes, tumor suppressors, oncogenic cofactors, disruption of innate/ adaptive immune responses, latency, viral mimicry/piracy of cellular regulatory genes, genomic instability and role of non-coding RNAs in viral pathogenesis. The purpose of this study is to develop viral vectors for human cancer gene therapy and to progress vaccine strategies for treatment of viral-associated cancers. Several methods are being trailed including genetic immunization with recombinant viral vectors based on Semliki Forest virus, immune checkpoint inhibitors and strategies to re-modulate the immunosuppressive tumor environment.
Cancer immunology is an interdisciplinary branch of biology that is concerned with understanding the role of the immune system in the progression and development of cancer; the most well-known application is cancer immunotherapy, which utilizes the immune system as a treatment for cancer.
Cytopathology is a branch of pathology that studies and diagnoses diseases on the cellular level. The discipline was founded by George Nicolas Papanicolaou in 1928. Cytopathology is generally used on samples of free cells or tissue fragments, in contrast to histopathology, which studies whole tissues.
Track 14: Neonatal & Paediatric Oncology
Neonatal & Pediatric Oncology is the term used to comprise all malignant conditions among neonates & children with cancer. The most common childhood cancers are leukemia (begins in blood-forming tissue such as bone marrow), lymphoma (cancer in the cells of immune system), neuroblastoma (nerve cells), retinoblastoma (occurs in the tissues of the retina), Wilms tumor (kidney cancer), and brain tumors, such as gliomas. Childhood cancers are very rare and may differ from adult cancers in the way they grow, spread, treated, and respond to treatment.

Cancer immunology is a branch of immunology that studies interactions between the immune system and cancer cells (also called tumours or malignancies). It is a field of research that aims to discover cancer immunotherapies to treat and retard progression of the disease. Cancer immunotherapy also known as Immuno-oncology is the use of the immune system to treat cancer. Immunotherapies can be categorized as active, passive or hybrid (active and passive). The immune response, including the recognition of cancer-specific antigens, forms the basis of targeted therapy (such as vaccines and antibody therapies) and tumour marker-based diagnostic tests.

Cancer genomics deals with the characterization difference between the cancer cells and normal cells based on gene expression and sequence of the DNA. The purpose of this study is to understand the basic genetics of tumor progression, development of genome of cancer by mutation and the action of drug in the cancer micro environment. Metabolomics is the study of the chemical fingerprints left by a metabolite during metabolism. In case of cancer cells, it will be very useful to study the metabolite profile for drug development. Many discoveries are being made in cancer metabolomics, one of them is the noninvasive validation of metabolic biomarkers from the body fluid of cancer patients.
